Joints do not work in isolation, and biomechanical problems with the feet can affect the rest of the body.
A biomechanical assessment will look at your gait, limb length, body alignment and range of movement.
Following assessment, possible treatment plans will be discussed with you.
Treatment may consist of:
Exercise – sometimes regular stretching may bring relief.
Orthoses (insoles) – can be designed to alter foot function, or to redistribute pressure and relieve pain.
Orthotics range from £25 – £350
Simple Insoles from £65
Treatment may bring relief from:
Flat feet (pes planus)
Bunions and painful joints
Painful corns and callus
Heel, knee and hip pain
Biomechanical Assessment £64 1 hour
Why not ask about our Postural Biomechanical Assessment?
A 1 1/2 hour session that looks in depth at the lower limb, but also closely examines the upper body. This assessment is carried out by John Doble.
Postural Biomechanical Assessment £96 1 ½ hour
Sometimes problems will require treatment by other health practitioners. Solesister will happily refer you to the appropriate treatment centre, or liaise with your GP.
